    "God, it's killing me"
That's what Roger Federer said minutes after losing to Rafa in the final of AO. And he cried.

It's not God, Roger. It's the next best thing - Rafa Nadal. And he beat you when you were fit and rested, while he was tired and sore after his herculean effort in the semis.

    You rock, Rafa. You rock.

      Anon,

Roger is indeed worthy of love. He is, after all, the greatest of all times. Good luck to him and his supporters!

      Anon,

Errr... perhaps this blog is not the place to praise Roger? I mean yeah he's great and everything, but he doesn't read my blog. You want to address him - go find his blog.

      ;-)

However, if you want to praise me, then you came to the right place.

And just for the record - Rafa won. Despite Roger's variety of strokes.

Rafa is the number one, not Roger.

      Anon @ 15.33,

Yes Rafa is number one. Gosh, I waited for this moment for more than 4 years :)

      Vamos Rafa!

      Roger is the best!!!
He could have win that match.
hello?! Nadal needed 7-5 and 7-6 to take sets from Roger. Roger only needed twice 6-3 to take sets from nadal!!! It was just a bad moment, everyone has those moments! that doesn't mean that Nadal is better than Roger.
Roger was just in a wrong mind in the last set.

      Anon,

Yes of course Roger could have won that match. The fact, however, remains that Rafa is the reigning Wimbledon, Roland Garros, and Australian Open champion, number one in the world, oh, and Olympic golden medalist. And I don't think it was all due to the fact that Roger "was just in a wrong mind" in the last set of Australian Open final.

But whatever, you want to think Roger is the best - go ahead. I actually agree with you - he is the greatest of all times. But I support Rafa, and I am quite content with his achievements :)

I love these Federer apologists. Look Roger is probably top three players of all time. But how can he be the GOAT if there's a guy that consistently beats him during his prime? Rafa is 13-7 against him and 6-2 in Grand Slams. It may be mental, but mental is a part of the game too, not just sweet strokes or hard work. Just enjoy the rivalry people. Although it ain't much of a rivalry right now. Roger needs to finish his career about 500 against Rafa, especially at Grand Slams otherwise he's only one of the greatest ever.
