Time is ticking away. Those fabled options better start appearing pronto.

As of today - no options other than moving out of our house and into a matchbox to save on rent. That would give us about 3-6 months, provided a lot of other issues solve themselves out. The issues don't seem to be willing to do that, however.

Man I hate this freaking crisis!

    Darwin Awards are out!
Have a look at Darwin Awards website for the entries of 2008. Here is a great one:

Gerhard, 68, was queued at a traffic light in his Porsche Cayenne sportscar. Before one reaches the light, there is a railroad crossing, and Gerhard had not let the queue progress forward far enough before he drove onto the tracks. As you might imagine, given Murphy's Law, a train was coming.

The safety bars came down, leaving the Porsche trapped on the rails. According to witnesses, it took the driver awhile to realize he was stuck. Finally he jumped from the car and started to run--straight toward the oncoming train, waving his arms in an attempt to save his sportscar!

The attempt was partly successful. The car received less damage than its owner, who landed 30 meters away. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The moral of the story? Momentum always wins.

My runner-up 2008 favourite is here and my favourite of all times - here. Pilots beware! ;-)

    Nothing comes for free
"I will give you outrageous skills, allow you to glide where others stagger, and free you to soar where others labor to fly. But I will collect my due in the form of a rival against whom those abilities will not be sufficient, against whom you will have to call on or develop resources of your own, to do what is required by your ambition."

    "God, it's killing me"
That's what Roger Federer said minutes after losing to Rafa in the final of AO. And he cried.

It's not God, Roger. It's the next best thing - Rafa Nadal. And he beat you when you were fit and rested, while he was tired and sore after his herculean effort in the semis.

    You rock, Rafa. You rock.
